Trying to ressurect old Mac IIci

I received a Macintosh IIci that will power on, but will not boot or show a display. It had a monochrome video card installed with an incompatible video port to Apple or PC displays. I removed the video card and connected an Apple monitor to the integrated video port. When the unit is powered on, a blank gray screen flashes for an instant and then there is no display. The hard drive ramps up but there is no disk activity except for the drive sounds.

How can I get this Mac defaulted back to the integrated video? Is there any hope for this system? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
